"THE FLOGGERS" BY ABIGAIL VINTIMILLA Y CAROLINA LIPCHAK

In our country are many different groups of teenagers.
They are “the floggers”, “the emos”, “the cumbieros” and many more.
The floggers are called like this because they have a fotolog wich is a personal website in internet where they upload their photos and where their friends leave comments on their photos.
The floggers always meet on Wednesday and at the weekends in the abasto and they go here for meeting people
They don't study much.
In their free time photos are taken by them
They are also on the computer and upload their photos in theirs fotolog.

The appearance of floggers is rejected by the society because their hairdo is a mess and is always in a bad state.
They use colorful cropped jeans.
The men use colorful V neck t-shirts and much more colorful clothes.
They like listening electro music and they dance it all day and in our opinion this kind of music is very bothering and horrible.

In our opinion this has to change, if we want a better society!

The punk culture is a movement based around punk rock. They wear tight jean, old and broken in the knees, shoes, the tight shirts for men, the former range of leather, “crazy hair look”. 1960s, some young people in Britain and other industrialized countries felt that the rock had gone from being a means of expression for young people, moving the music of the common people. Punk emerged as a mockery (joke) to the rigidity of the conventional ways of hiding social and cultural oppression.
The punks listen rock music, 1960’s songs, like the WHO, the Ramones, the Beatles, the Stooges, etc.
This group spends their time to listen rock music, kind of expression ,etc.

The emos by Nicolas Wyplosz

If you ask me, the emos wear pink and black clothes, like black jeans and pink shirts. They usually use a chain, and they often use black make-up like eyeliner. They wear shirts with the names of the bands they listen. Emos usually use pearcings and their hair covers the half of the face .

The emos listen to a musical style that is called emo. This is a style of rock music characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive lyrics. It originated in the `80s, and it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore. Its musical origins are the hardcore punk and the indie rock.
For example, Jimmy Eat World, 30 seconds to Mars, and AFI are artists who play emo music.

The emos live in constant depression, because they think the world is miserable and insulting. They usually cut their arms with a knife or any glass because they want to show their pain. The emos think the life is very depressing and sad, and they don´t believe in any religions or gods. At least in Buenos Aires, the emos have fought with other gangs, because the other gangs hate them.

the darks are young people who always dress in black and white to say they were pure of soul.they usually worn by aristocratic style of times past. Also they use crucifixes, rings and necklaces relating to bats, skulls and spiders. Face makeup is to look too pale and her lips and nails painted black. They have a way of life very depressing and disillusioned.The first known reference was the musical group The Cure who played Gothic Rock. Most Dark listen: metal, r & b, darkwave, goth, among others. mostly listen to nu metal,the like to reed books from Bram Stoker, Anne Rice y Lovecraft (that have have strong links and apocalyptic vampírescos)

Flogger is a teenager fashion originated in Argentina, which is closely related to Fotolog, a website where you can upload photos and send your comment.
We always wear tight trousers, colourfull V-neck T-shirts with a big design on it, sportshoes with fluor cords and we have a special hairstyle like emos, hair-band, elastic bracelets and sunglasses. We use a lot of eyeliner all the day. All the clothes that we use, are from very succesful and important Trademarks.

This group of person usually listen electro music and dance all the time, we have this music in our tecnologic machines like mp4 and cell phone.

We spend our free time going to the abasto shopping to meet with our fotolog’s friends.
We always enter to our fotolog to check the comments that other people write about our photos, to load new photos and see photos from another fotologs friends.
when we talk with our friends by messenger chat, we use a lot of icons like face blushes.All times we are taking photos to upload in our fotologs.
we call eachother the name of our fotologs and talk with a different vocabulary, like: ARREH, OSEA, etc.

other gangs like emos, and rolingas hate floggers because they think that this new gang steal for their style the bandanas or the hair-style. sometimes they fight in te abasto shopping and make a disaster.
